We will be joining the Future Makers: Robotics and Emerging Technology event being held at the Nottingham Central Library on Wednesday 23rd October. This event is free to attend.
Come meet the team from the Cobot Maker Space who will be demonstrating several robots and inviting you to join them to build and programme robots throughout the day!
Future Makers is open to all ages, but perfect for children and young people aged 7-16, this event offers a unique chance to engage with scientists from the University of Nottingham and local enthusiasts as they showcase their work in robotics and cutting-edge technology.
Attendees at this free, family-friendly event can explore interactive exhibits, participate in hands-on activities, and create themed crafts to take home. Whether you’re curious about robotics, what to know more about future technology or just love to tinker, this event promises a fun and educational experience for all.
Meet Matilda, the legendary House Robot from UK TV show Robot Wars; pilot robots in the pop-up arena; discover Collaborative robots (cobots) from the University of Nottingham’s pioneering Cobot Maker Space; interact with cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, and 3D printers; learn about exciting new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) projects; crafting activities, workshops, demonstrations and more!
No need to book, just turn up!
Future Makers is delivered in partnership with the Institute for Policy and Engagement at the University of Nottingham, Nottingham City Libraries and STEM City Nottingham.
