The aim of this group project involving UG students from the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, is to create design and develop a number of 3D haptic games, the dynamics of which are controlled using the Haption Virtuose haptic device.
The games will involve the interaction of two agents where appropriate (one human and an AI controller/two humans/two AI). Motion planning algorithms will be develop to control the motion of the AI bot. Haptic feedback will be implemented to get the user to feel forces due to game dynamics, the partner’s movements, as well as artificial guidance or repulsion forces as implemented by the programmer.
Start date 1 November 2021 – 1 June 2022
