Cyber-physical Health and Assistive Robotics Technologies (CHART) is an interdisciplinary research group based at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham. The group conducts foundational and applied research in intelligent cyber-physical systems and robotics technologies to support personalised health and well-being.  Areas of research:
  • Socially and physically assistive robots as intelligent ‘personalised support assistants’

  • Smart devices and technologies for fostering better mental health and improving health behaviour

  • Intelligent sensing and novel sensors to develop new methods for recognising abnormal data patterns

  • Accessible interfaces for people with sensory, cognitive and physical impairments using a range of sensory modalities

  • Decision-support systems with easy to use dashboards and tools for healthcare professionals
